Rob Davison
MSc, Land Resource Management, Cranfield UniversityBSc, Geography, University of North London Robert Davison is an international soil scientist who, over many years, has traveled across the world to conduct surveys and produce maps, often in remote locations. He has completed major consultancy assignments with numerous international bodies, including the United Nations. Since 1996 he has conducted numerous surveys in the UK for land quality assessment (ALC) and soil investigation, with particular regard to restored land and land with soil-related problems, including landfill site restoration and soil affected by civil engineering operations. He was responsible for developing Reading Agricultural Consultant's (RAC) digital mapping facility, and was responsible for all digital mapping output. He is skilled in the use of satellite, hyper-altitude and low-altitude imagery for land resource surveys, and has a knowledge of digital mapping and map production. He is actively developing a knowledge of GIS applications for land resource studies. He is experienced in preparation of project budgets and tenders, project administration and survey supervision. He also has an interest in landscape change, and the use of multi-temporal photography for analysis of landscape dynamics. |
